Starting in Paramaribo at 07:00AM, we take a private bus towards Albina. The journey takes about 2 hours. Afterwards we cross the Maroni, which is a river but at the same time it is the border between Suriname and French Guiana. When we arrive in St. Laurent, we visit the famous prison called Papillon, known for its many movies, which have been recorded there. The prison is a collection of global history that makes it very multicultural. Later on the day, we take a look at the untouched culture which can be found on the market. At the market you will get some free time to enjoy and perhaps some shopping. This is a great opportunity to taste the exotic wealth of fruits and vegetables. During this free time, you can have your lunch, which should provide you of enough energy to conttinue the rest of the adventure. Eventually we pass by at superU, this is an European supermarket where you can find quality products. After this, we will take the boat and cross the Maroni river. On the Maroni river, we visit an uninhabitated island where you can enjoy the flora and fauna and various activities such as laying in hammocks, swimming and many more. After a full day of history, culture and adventure, we drive back to Albina.
